How to reach our lab?

Our lab is located at the third floor of the Lavoisier builiding at walking distance to both train (ca 300 m) and bus stations (700 m), and Museum L (ca 300 m). Do you enjoy shopping at the Esplanade mall? We are located nearby (350 m).

If you travel by train, purchase a ticket with the final destination 'Louvain-la-Neuve Université'. Do not confuse with 'Louvain' which is a different city. You may either take a direct train from Brussels or a faster train on the Namur-Luxemburg line, and call at Ottignies, to reach Louvain-la-Neuve by another train.

If you travel by plane through Brussels international airport, go downstairs after arrival to take either a direct a train to Louvain-la-Neuve Université or travel to Brussels North Station, to connect to your final destination.

If you travel by car, please contact us in advance to get a free car park tag.

Where to get your lunch on site?

Numerous bars, street food and restaurants, located nearby the Lavoisier building, offer a large variety of low prices sandwiches and fresh drinks.  University restaurants such as ‘Le Galilée’ (place Galilée 10, close  to the lab) and ‘Le Sablon’ (rue du Sablon 11, downtown) offer hot food at affordable prices (main course at ca 5 € and ca. 3 for students).

For those who wish to eat their sandwich or home food in the lab cafeteria, a microwave, a coffee machine/kettle/nespresso stand (with free powdered coffee and a complimentary tea selection), drinkable water fountain as well as a fridge are available on a free access basis to please lab researchers.
